The Arrival

Episode 21 of The Common Man Chronicles, “The Arrival,” marks the beginning of a new chapter — darker, deeper, and roasted hotter than ever before.

It starts with a blackout. The Common Man’s roastery flickers in candlelight, the hum of machinery fading into silence. Then, through the smoke, a stranger steps out of the shadows — hat brim low, face half-hidden, eyes glowing like embers from a dying fire. He doesn’t speak at first, just studies the roaster with quiet disapproval. The Common Man tightens his jaw, sensing a fellow craftsman — or maybe something else entirely.

When the silence finally breaks, it’s with a voice like gravel and burnt sugar:
“You roast for comfort. I roast for truth.”

By the time the lights flicker back, the figure is gone — leaving behind only the faint smell of ozone and the question that won’t stop burning in The Common Man’s mind:
Who is this dark character, and what kind of roast is he pushing?

The Common Man may have just met his match — or his mirror.
